I have found Earl Steinbicker's blog, he is world
traveler, commercial photographer, author, book editor
and he was Richard Avedon's assistant and Avedon's
studio manager from 1952 to 1956 and from 1959 to
1965, he is an expert about photography lab work.
The blog is very interesting and you can find unknown
info about Avedon , f.e. the way he worked with the
large format camera for his commercial work and the
way Avedon worked with the Rolleiflex TLR to take the
portraits about personalities; there are unique
photographs, technical info about the way they did the
famous prints and BTW other aspects about Earl's life
very interesting too:
