Hi Marc, As others have suggested, the whole "digital darkroom" workflow has its own learning curve. 1200 dpi from a flatbed scanner is also pushing it a bit for 35mm - if my arithmetic is right, that's less than 2 megapixels from 35mm, so you won't get the sort of detail you're used to with chemical prints. They should just about be OK at 6*4 though, certainly usable. I do quite a lot of digital printing from scans. If you're not even getting decent 6*4 prints, I'd be happy to take a look at one of your scans and see what I can do with it. If you'd like to email me one of the 6*4 scans off-list (as a TIFF file, before you've adjusted it in Photoshop), I'd be happy to have a look at it for you. That way we can at least try to determine at what stage the problem is.
