Photoshop has to be one of the biggest con jobs of all history. It's a
totally non-intuitive, poorly conceived, and user-hostile program. You can
ultimately do a great deal with it, but only with an enormously painlful
struggle to
adapt yourself to it's ways.
There have been far better designed image processing programs (Corel
Photo-Paint comes to mind), but like much else in the realm of software, once
the
first dozen "gurus" learn a program and put their weight behind it, that's
basically the end of the game,
I can't help you, but I can sympathize.
