Jim, Aside from the implications of the recent security issue (which is not something I have currently experienced), if impact damage is a concern, putting your TLR (assuming of course Rolleiflex+lensboard=TLR) in a Rollei metal tropical case would offer substantial protection whilst in your luggage in the hold. The added weight would be small. I think I would be concerned that some items might not arrive at their intended destination. For items of 'sentimental' value, this would cause a certain amount of distress. In current times I would not like to travel, with expensive camera equipment or other items, by air. I am sure that many people find themselves with that dilemma. I know that similar topics have been dealt with before, but since the "liquid explosive" thing in England (with the corresponding tightening of security), I was wondering if anyone has been hassled about their camera, film, etc. I have had security ask on several different occasions to see the inside of my Rolleiflex, and even once that I "turn it on." I ask because I am flying to the States again, and have no desire to have to leave my camera with them. I would put the camera in my luggage, but the handlers are too rough, and would probably move the lensboard out of alignment or something of the sort. So, has anyone had problems with airport security (especially in the U.S.) as of late? Thanks in advance, Jim -- Der GMX SmartSurfer hilft bis zu 70% Ihrer Onlinekosten zu sparen!
