The change on the 2.8 Planar was definitely from yellow to purple. I think
the same is true for the 3.5 lenses. Are you sure your first issue 3.5 F
Planar is not a replacement? Check the serial number of the lenses.
My 3,5 E3 with Xenotar had the yellowish coating, and so does my 3,5F Planar
(the late model, just before the "white face"). Camera #2830512 Lens
