I would recommend against the Pistol Grip. Its a product of desperation not convenience or anything else. 35mm cameras were coming in. The pistol grip did not transform a twin lens Rolleiflex into a point and shoot. It just got your hands off the controls. Its best your thumbs are on the controls. The f stops and shutter speeds. Where they fall naturally if your are holding the camera the way it was designed to be held.
