I have an old Original cobbled together out of two cameras.
It uses 120 film. Has a Tessar. Weighs about the same as my
Rollieflex IV. Very light and simple compared to the later
cameras. My first "real" camera was a Rolliecord IV bought new
just after they were discontinued. I burglar got it long ago
(could still kill him) but I got another. It is a favorite; an
essential camera with everything you need but nothing extra.
Light and excellent ergonomics. The Xenar is as sharp as any
Tessar. The old Stanadard is similar other than having the crank
and left-hand focusing (which I never liked).
Congratulations on your little beauties.
Re-spooling 120 to 620 is not difficult and makes a lot of
old cameras usable. Kodak evidently started the 6** series films
so that they could make pocket cameras thinner. 120 is really
better and does not stress the inner windings so much.

Richard, Carlos,
Thanks for the responses. I did purchase, not one, but two, of the original
Rolleis. Both still operational. Wow! As it turns out, I was able to re-roll
120 film onto 620 rolls and successfully load and shoot both of the cameras.
I am, by nature, a Luddite. These little gems go far in affirming the wisdom of
that path in life. Thanks again.
Now to complete my collection with a Baby Rollei.
