Good luck Marc, I've never been in a hurricane but have been in some very severe storms wth very high winds. I find them a little frighening. I am never sure the building I'm in will not blow away, or if at work in a very strong building, that I won't come to find my house blown away.

I've been through a couple of typhoons in my destroyer in the Pacific and they were interesting, to say the least. In one instance we tied up with wire in Okinawa, Buckner Bay if I remember correctly. In another instance we stayed at sea and I had to learn to sleep in my bunk, on my stomach, with my arms wrapped around the mattress. We were then on what was called "Formosa Patrol" and we had to keep chugging up and down the channel, why I don't remember.

Anamals don't like storms; my old dog used to give a look which said, "OK, enough of this joke now turn it off". A survey question: I have been bottom posting since I started on the internet. I am now told that a lot of people prefer top posting, like this. What say the Rollei crowd, I will do whatever people like best (have makings of a politician).

I sort of take the middle ground, which I understand most folks don't much like, they say it's confusing..

I quote what I want to respond to, and if there are multiple topics, I interlace my responses with the original post. Of course, on this mail list most posts have only one line of discussion so that really isn't an issue here.
