Last week I scanned some earlier ‘70s color prints for my High School group at Facebook and noticed most of them had green spots on the surface that required restoration work via PS elements, an intensive work for some cases. I think these green spots were caused by a deficient process in the lab (they looked perfect when new) because other color prints from the ‘60s and ‘80s did not show these spots and they were kept in the same place. The yellowish/reddish cast was fairly eliminated from the beginning via a VueScan option to restore faded colors. I became curious about the colors for some of my 10-12 years old 35mm negs due to this experience and decided to scan/rescan a few samples. I disabled the option to restore faded colors and scanned the negs, Kodak Gold 100 taken with the Pentax P30t, Pentax A SMC 28-80mm zoom during a travel to southern Brazil, these are the results: http://www.flickr.com/photos/itarfoto/4613259849/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/itarfoto/4613734086/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/itarfoto/4613734946/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/itarfoto/4613877258/ Carlos --- Rollei List - Post to rollei_list@xxxxxxxxxxxxx - Subscribe at rollei_list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'subscribe' in the subject field OR by logging into www.freelists.org - Unsubscribe at rollei_list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the subject field OR by logging into www.freelists.org - Online, searchable archives are available at //www.freelists.org/archives/rollei_list
