The Contax II is a pleasure to use considering it's a camera from 1937. I tried the second roll with this camera and the uncoated Sonnar 1.5/50, under certain light conditions there is no doubt the lens is prone to flare and the diference with a coated or multicoated lens is perceptible of course. It's also perceptible that coated/multicoated lenses in general produce more "pure" colors someway, it does not mean colors by uncoated Sonnar are not very pleasant, this Sonnar is excellent about sharpness and contrast, these are to samples, the first one is a nocturnal shot taken with the camera on a rail, 4sec f 8, the other a cityscape, both taken with Kodacolor color negative film ISO 400: http://www.flickr.com/photos/itarfoto/4515984730/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/itarfoto/4515983220/ Carlos --- Rollei List - Post to rollei_list@xxxxxxxxxxxxx - Subscribe at rollei_list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'subscribe' in the subject field OR by logging into www.freelists.org - Unsubscribe at rollei_list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the subject field OR by logging into www.freelists.org - Online, searchable archives are available at //www.freelists.org/archives/rollei_list
