Thanks for this. When I was in grammar school I was an avid reader _Science and Mechanics_ and _Mechanix Illustrated_ . There was another similar magazine called _Popular Mechanics (maybe also spelled with an X, I don't remember). Some of the articles were pretty hokey but I learned a lot from them. They were also filled with DIY projects and had very interesting advertising. The articles are interesting for themselves but also for the glimpse of the culture of the day. --- Richard Knoppow Los Angeles, CA, USA dickburk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx --- Rollei List - Post to rollei_list@xxxxxxxxxxxxx - Subscribe at rollei_list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'subscribe' in the subject field OR by logging into www.freelists.org - Unsubscribe at rollei_list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the subject field OR by logging into www.freelists.org - Online, searchable archives are available at //www.freelists.org/archives/rollei_list
