This is simply silly. NOS parts for LTM cameras
are certainly available and there are no shortage
of NOS parts for all Leica M film cameras. The
only problems might be with the meter circuitry
on the M5, M6, and M7 but, as of the present,
there is no shortage of parts for these, either.
And if a mechanical part is no longer available,
any machinist with a Uni-Mat can make a
replacement in jig time. Ken Ruth certainly does this, and there are others.
the same can be said of the Contax RF
cameras. Meter-cells are even available for Prewar Contax III cameras.
