Paypal is the "pal" of pirates, thieves, fraudsters and felons. THEY are
protected; you are not. Once a thief gets or falsifies details, they have no
interest in YOU.

Hello, Everybody:

Last year I was asked by PAYPAL for my bank refence, and I offered them my
local bank details, in Qatar - I work in the middle east - but they insisted
on my UK bank address - where my credit card is issued and where I have my
purchases shipped. When I refused, they cancelled my paypal account. I dealt
with paypal for over a year and thousands of dollars in transactions.

For sometime after that I paid directly to those who would agree to the
transaction.

I was surprised at some US sellers refusing to accept WESTERN UNION payment
in ADVANCE of shipment. I am very wary of sending credit card information by
email.

Only once did I lose my bet on the honesty of the ebay advertisers.

Strangely enough, for several months afterwards Paypal would send me notices
of people attempting to use my account, and some such rubbish. I have never
made an Ebay purchase since, mostly because of paypal.

Goodwishes to all, John
