For just posting on the net and occasional prints, any Epson with a transparency adapter should work wonderfully. I can't tell if the latest <$200 Epsons (like the V200 and the V350) scan larger than 35mm negs and slides, but my old Perfection 1650 with the added TPU will scan up to 4X5 negs/slides and prints up to Legal. It still works fine and didn't cost me a whole lot. I usually get just processing and basic scans done on any film that I shoot now. If I'm going to make big prints from film, I get pro-res scans done after I've chosen the individual negs that I want to use, but I've made up to 11X17 prints on my old Epson 1270 from flatbed scans and they were fine. Of course, the latest scanners come with all sorts of Silverfast like software that makes dust and the like much less of a hassle than it used to be.

Be well,

I'm to the point of shopping for a scanner to use on negs, slides and prints. My main purpose is for posting on the internet. This topic has been covered before, but things keep changing in that market and I would like as current advice as possible. Thanx for whatever help anyone can offer. Please contact me off list (unless you have information of general interest, of course).
