I was trying to avoid going there, but since you insist on agreeing with patent nonsense, allow me simply to say that if the NEA is such a worthy organization, it can support itself on its own good looks and without the theft of public funds.

The thought of stealing money from people who find the works of Mapplethorpe offensive in order to pay for such works simply makes me want to gag. That just is not right.

And, again, it was not the conservatives who raised hell over Mapplethorpe and Serrano et al. The Lefty churches were really the ones who attacked the NEA.

Eliminate the NEA and do so yesterday. It is a vile and worthless agency of absolutely no redeeming quality.
