I have a Leica 'R' lens adapter for my Canon DSLR and it works very well. I don't believe you can effectively use a Leica M lens on any DSLR (or SLR) since the mirror puts the lens mount too far away from the film plane for infinity focus. If an M mount existed, it would be for close-up use only.

IMHO,

Jim

My wife just picked up a Canon Rebel T1i digital SLR. I understand that there are adapters available which permit the use of Leica M and M42 lenses and the like on these puppies. Does anyone know how to acquire one of these?
