Patton was wounded in WWI, to his chagrin in the
backside, by an artillery shell bursting behind him.
Patton almost certainly suffered from repetitive
cerebral edemae caused by his frequent falls
while playing wild-man polo; this may explain
his erratic behavior during the Second World War.
