I believe it's more than a statistical fluke.  You're presumptive that a 
Google search can accurately survey the population numbers of Canon F-1N's 
and Nikon F's.  I believe that presuption to be seriously flawed.  The 
Nikon F system is highly collectible and sites (web pages) abound with 
information about it.  There is a very strong web presence about the Nikon 
F system.  The Canon F-1N system is not "collectible" and the web presence 
of sites (web pages) about it are nearly non-existent.  There is no 
correlation between that and the population of gear.  I'm presuming you're 
limiting this to *only* the original Nikon F and *only* the Canon F-1N, and 
not all the other bodies in their respective systems.
