When I received my 3.5F that I bought very cheap I knew why it was cheap, it looked nice and clean but film transport, focusing mechanism, shutter speeds, etc. were in very bad condition; the seller offered me to give my money back but I decided to keep the camera due to it had a six elements Planar lens in excellent condition except for a bit of fungus around the first element edges. I commented to the list that I sent the F to Harry Fleenor in California last year, he did a great job and also John van Stelten did a great job removing the fungus, it was not necessary to recoat the lens first element. Harry gave me the camera back like new really;the 3.5F costed me almost U$S 1,000 finally, but I'm satisfied, I know what camera I have and I also know that a 3.5F for similar condition is costing more than U$S 1,300.- All the best Carlos --- Richard Sintchak <rich815@xxxxxxxxx> escribió: > Any advice or input appreciated. > > About 4 years ago I bought a real beater Rolleiflex > 2.8E Planar from a > used camera booth in Beijing (I was living there at > the time).
