Thanks, Richard. I can actually poke the cable pin through the socket and get the shutter to trip so I'm not sure about the missing pin. In the meantime I'll contact the CLA'er and also look for a deeper cable release. rgds Chat On 11/1/06, Richard Knoppow <dickburk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:

I am less familiar with the F than older Rolleis so I don't know if this applies, but, in the older cameras there is a pin in the cable release socket that is acted on by the release and in turn operates the tripping lever inside the camera. If this pin is missing the cable release will not work correctly. Its possible that it may have been lost during the CLA. --- Richard Knoppow Los Angeles, CA, USA dickburk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx --- Rollei List - Post to rollei_list@xxxxxxxxxxxxx - Subscribe at rollei_list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'subscribe' in the subject field OR by logging into www.freelists.org - Unsubscribe at rollei_list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the subject field OR by logging into www.freelists.org - Online, searchable archives are available at //www.freelists.org/archives/rollei_list
