I agree with your comments about the Luna Pro F lightmeter Mark, I have the European version Lunasix F, only the name is different. This lightmeter uses a regular 9v MN1604 type battery with positive and negative on the same side, I'm using a 9v MN1604 or 6L R61 Duracell Alkaline battery and it works fine, perhaps you are thinking about the discontinued Marcury batteries, but this lightmeter does not use mercury batteries.
