They are rather hard to find, at least on the western side of the Great
Puddle, but the Kiev 66 projector is a damned fine machine. The older
units are about as subtle as a tractor-pull though the later ones are a tad
more refined. All have magnificent optics and work well. And all allow
both 35mm and 120 projection.
The going price on these is around $US 200 though I understand that they
are available for far less in the "bweela SSSR". A friend married to an
archaeologist found new ones, still in box, going for about $10 a few years
back in Kazakhstan when he accompanied his wife to a dig but foolishly
failed to purchase the lot.
