Thanks Carlos, I had a 3.5 F Plnr, the quality of the prints I got from this camera lens combo left me speechless. The camera was not in good condition however and I traded it for a better condition 3.5E Plnr version, however I have experienced a huge difference in the prints I get from the two Plannars. The 3.5E exhibiting very high unprintable contrast range and flare. I am sure many people have asked this question, is it true that there should be no perceptable difference between results on 3.5E Planar and 3.5F Planar models? I ask this question as I as I have mentioned I see a huge difference and would like to find out if my experience is typical. : -----Original Message----- From: Carlos Manuel Freaza <cmfreaza@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Tue, 18 Oct 2005 11:45:57 To:rollei_list@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [rollei_list] Re: Looking for Rolleiflex F ... 3.5E flare --- redleica <redleica@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> escribió: > ...One issue I would like to raise is that the flare on > my 3.5 E. I had a 3.5E, when I noticed flare for lighting situations that the lens (and camera) handled very good before, I looked through the lens with the shutter open and locked at B position and diaphragm wide open against a light source, I could see dust too much between the lens element; after I sent the camera for CLA (the lens was cleaned), the excessive flare disappeared. BTW the excessive flare also could be caused due to a damaged lens coating, pasted lens elements separation, scratches or a light seal tube loose or in bad condition.- All the best Carlos ___________________________________________________________ 1GB gratis, Antivirus y Antispam Correo Yahoo!, el mejor correo web del mundo http://correo.yahoo.com.ar --- Rollei List - Post to rollei_list@xxxxxxxxxxxxx - Subscribe at rollei_list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'subscribe' in the subject field OR by logging into www.freelists.org - Unsubscribe at rollei_list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the subject field OR by logging into www.freelists.org - Online, searchable archives are available at //www.freelists.org/archives/rollei_list Thanks for your message, God bless You.
