A. I have so many labor-saving devices that I don't have enough time to
repair.
B. George Carlin said that the person with the "most stuff" wins.
It's amazing how willing I have become to donate things I have saved and loved,
to Goodwill. Mostly things I "might need" someday. When I left La Jolla I
left 2 nice stereo systems, several boxes of declassified government
documents*, and an Omega B22 enlarger in the attic. Here, recently, I opened a
box and found a compete set of darkroom items including some chemicals which
are about 20 years out of date. I just found a nice Nikor(?) film tank, but
not it's custom-fitted lid.
I now disagree with George Carlin.
Now, if you are like me, you may have more than one level or drill set,
whatever. It happens when you can't find something for a project and rush out
to buy one to save time. Of course you find the original in "a very logical
place" where you knew you would remember.
*I wish I had kept the documents. There are many errors in Wikipedia but they
require documentation to make a change.
