This part of the lens can be disassembled, and cleaned by John at www.focalpointlens.com <http://www.focalpointlens.com/> There are a lot of enlarger lenses available on eBay, some of them are in excellent condition and reasonable priced. I have quite a collection in excellent condition. I remove the lenses from the dark room after use and I keep them in a box with a large canister of silica gel to protect them from what has happened to you lens. Thanks though. A victim of the recent damp hot weather. It might not look like it, but an EL Nikkor is made with two lens cells which unscrew just like a Schneider enlarging lens. Have you removed the cells to see if the fungus is growing inside the cells? Usually, the fungus will not be inside the cells as they are sealed, but rather only on the rear of the cell where it can be easily cleaned off. -- James Tyrer --- Rollei List - Post to rollei_list@xxxxxxxxxxxxx - Subscribe at rollei_list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'subscribe' in the subject field OR by logging into www.freelists.org - Unsubscribe at rollei_list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the subject field OR by logging into www.freelists.org - Online, searchable archives are available at //www.freelists.org/archives/rollei_list --- Rollei List - Post to rollei_list@xxxxxxxxxxxxx - Subscribe at rollei_list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'subscribe' in the subject field OR by logging into www.freelists.org - Unsubscribe at rollei_list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the subject field OR by logging into www.freelists.org - Online, searchable archives are available at //www.freelists.org/archives/rollei_list
