Eric, the H2 does M/S or XY, user definable (it's actually a 4 channel 4 track recorder, which makes for some interesting possibilities...)
They also have a H4, which is also a 4 track recorder, but only 2 at a time, allowing overdubs (as a very basic multitrack).

A good recommendation, Thor. I personally don't like XY miking (M-S is my thing) but this is a decent inexpensive solution which is easy to use and can produce acceptable results... There is also a chap who is developing a custom capsule forit to allow recording in ambisonic format (4 channel surround). It's a decent unit, but consumer oriented. If you want to go the Rollei/Leica route, get a Stellavox. I have a SM8, Idon't know of anything that can touch it at 15ips...They're pretty hard to find, but a good alternative if you're not as pickyis a Nagra, also capeable of some fine recording. :-) Cheers, Thor
