In my experience, the Kodak HIE is by far the most sensitive to loading/unloading. I don't recall the current status with it's production, though there was someone purchasing the aerographic equivalent of HIE in bulk rolls and re-spooling. http://www.davidromano.com/Order.html It's rather expensive, but at least available. I use Patterson plastic tanks and have never seen any associated fog as a result. As far as loading, it may be a best guess. I gather your model doesn't have the film advance mechanism. As for focusing, I always stop down to a minimum of f8 for good depth of field. Konica 750 used to be made in limited production, once per year. I don't know whether it's made at all these days. Maco may be the only one left.
