Emmanuel:
You had commented about Fuji Astia discontinuation
for 35mm in January 2011, but you still had some hope for the 120
version and then I assume it was discontinued for 120 too. I started
to use Kodak Ektachrome 100 G slide film last year ( I used it for
some of my Lanin volcano travel and climbing shots), I liked the
results very much, but now Kodak has discontinued any color reversal
film manufacture, Kodak slide films no longer exist, anyway they still
will manufacture E-6 chemicals, they also say "...in the case of slide
films, the decline has been pretty acute, and in addition to that, the
complexity of the formulation and manufacturing of these films made it
that we could no longer sustain them." (BPJ web site). Anyway, I read
that if Kodak survives film manufacture will be within its business,
"...This doesn't affect our Portra films, our Ektar and
black-and-white films...". Kodak films prices increased 15%.-
