I have a Rolleimeter C and I have adjusted and I've used
it. The Rolleimter can be used on Rolleiflex ( no cords) with fixed
viewfinder hood only, it can't be used for Rolleiflexes with removable
viewfinder hood.There are versions for 3.5 cameras with and without
lightmeter and for 2.8 cameras with and without lightmeter; the difference
is about the lens focal length and a space for the selenium cell. The
Rolleimter needs to be adjusted for your camera real focal lenght and a
round chart with a scale is provided for the purpose; there is a procedure
to adjust it without the chart too. I have adjusted mine one and it is
adjusted yet.
The Rolleimter has two clamps and a screw to attach it to the part in the
camera with the name "Rolleiflex", it also has a movable arm to follow the
lens plate movement to focus the image. You focus the image through the
open sports finder,, you see the double image ina circle in a glass bar at
the middle of the sports finder; this glass bar is fundamental and the
mirror on one of the sides is fundamental too. The glass bar is exposed to
receive damage if you're not careful,
I think it's a good accessory, you can fold the viewfinder hood even if the
Rolleimeter is installed. It's most comfortable to use it with the Rollei
Grip, but you can use it without it too.I don't use the Rolleimeter too
much because you need to install and to desinstall it, but it is a solution
for some lighting situations.
