The Rolleiflex T does not have the film sensor mechanism to advance
the film to the frame number 1 automatically, you need to align the
film paper back arrows with the two red dots at the camera body. When
you advance the film from this position, the film sensor in the upper
film spool chamber -a wheel with an eccentric axis- measures the upper
film spool thickness and when it perceives the thickness is enough,
the film counter is engaged changing to the number 1. If the wheel
mechanism in the upper film spool chamber is not clean or there is
something wrong about it, it can fail to advance the film counter to
the frame 1.
