[rollei_list] Hand Engraved Serial Numbers

Hey all,

I've got a 2.8E with some sort of inventory or serial number inscribed on
it. I've seen this on many Rollei cameras but have no idea what the source
was for these numbers. Does anyone know what the story was on these
cameras? Were these military issue?
