Hi Peter, I don't have health insurance, and don't want it. At least I don't want what is only currently available in MA. My brother-in-law says he can get catastrophic insurance in FL for something like $100/month. But, I can't get that here in MA. If this new "bill" allows me to buy only catastrophic (in-patient) care, I'd like that. Somehow, I doubt that it'll "allow" that though. Now, with respect to the "fine" for not having purchased health insurance. It's a LOT less than the health insurance (somewhere from $700 to $2500/year I read). So, where's the incentive? Now, if I pay that "fine", do I still get any health care? IOW, can I just go get health care and not pay the bills? That "fine" has to be used for something...besides administering the fine. Probably not. Regards, Austin -----Original Message----- From: rollei_list-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rollei_list-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Peter K. If you are retired from the military, or been in the military, you have the VA. Those who were not have nothing. Hence the reason people want some means of getting medical service when they need it.
