It’s been a few years since I contributed to this group, and hope there are a
few old-timers who remember me.
Since last communication, I have pretty much switched to digital photography,
and haven’t used my film cameras for years. It’s past time for me to put them
up for sale.
My first offering is a Rolle MXV-1, equipped with a Schneider Xenar lens. It
takes very sharp pix when in good condition, but presently the shutter is
sluggish, needs a CLR. By sluggish, I mean when the shutter release is
pressed, it takes several seconds before the shutter is activated, but then
seems to operate normally. It will cost too much to have CLR’ed, so keep that
in mind when bidding on it. There are a number of accessories to go with it,
including Rolleigrid, Rolleifix, #1 closeup lens set, 4 filters: red, yellow,
green, and UV, small Gossen light meter, neck strap with Rollei attachments,
and Lowepro carrying case (slightly discolored but fully functional) and four
rolls of highly outdated b&w film. All camera accessories are Rollei. I kept
this camera for close to a decade after switching to digital, but have finally
decided to send it to a new home.
