This brings up the question, does any group nowadays still have the knowhow and
has the secured the tooling to produce a Rolleiflex FX, FW or FT?

The Rollei Fototechnic website is from 2009:
http://www.dhw-fototechnik.de/en/aboutus.html ;
<http://www.dhw-fototechnik.de/en/aboutus.html>
Where did all the tooling go (Japan, China, Netherlands, Braunschweig Museum…)?

Just like with the Hasselblad V Series, I refuse to believe that there is no
market for at least a small “Manufaktur” of these mechanical and reliable
beauties.

Flickr is full of analog photos. The German analog Magazine "Photo Klassik"
seems to be doing well at train station news stands.  Some camera models (RF,
Hassi, Zeiss Super Ikonta, Voigtländer Bessa, but also more recent creations
like the Zeiss Ikon ZM  etc.) are getting increasingly harder to find and more
$$$.

Hello Richard:
                       I think that the design and ergonomics of the Rollei
TLR could have some minor drawbacks, but this same design and ergonomics,
plus the optical quality, have allowed and continue to allow very good
pictures to be taken with these cameras.
