Eric,

Please leave me and everyone I know out of that "we." The people I know in this country don't cheat on our taxes, our relations, nor anything we can get away with.

C'mon Jon, in America, the national sport to try to screw as many
people out of as much as you possibly can, come out on top, and stomp
on the people you climb over because all that matters is that you win.

There are very few honest corporations left out there, and honest
politicians leave office very quickly when they see what they are up
against from K Street...

And we love to cheat on our taxes, our relationships, everything we
can get away with. It's the national past-time.

Sorry for the cynicism folks... I guess it's the heat. End of rant...

At least she has a grasp of what her cameras are worth even if a little high. I have no nod of approval for someone that laughingly brags they bought a box of M3's with several lenses from some dumb widow for $25..... A friend of a friend (An accomplished violinist) once bought a $50k violin at
a garage sale for $50 and for years bragged about it....
Very sad

Yesterday I went to a unique rummage sale in a upscale lake home small town in southern WI, near my home. Film cameras were advertised. A woman, in her 60's had the sale in her garage. When I asked about the camera she gave me a 4 page inventory of cameras and asked me what camera I wanted to view. I indicated the Rollei. She pulled out a Rollei 66? 120 SLR with a case that looked unused. I also looked at Rolleiflex case that was unused. She had some Rollei lens but I did not examine them since 120 SLR's do not interest me. I thought her prices were high at $1200 for the SLR and $100 for the
case so I did not attempt to bargain.

As a matter of further
information:
With all the cameras listed I asked her if she was involved in a camera store. She said no these belonged to a friend that bought cameras over the years and many were these were little used or unused. (She did not say it was her husband so I surmised it could have been a boyfriend who possibly died.) In scanning the inventory, I noted that many were 35mm's. I recall a bunch of Konica SLR cameras and lens. I do not recall any other TLR's or folders except for a Kodak Vigilant. I noted a Mercury II (I owned one when I was in HS). It was listed for $50 that I thought was high. I did not look at it. If it would have been in a unused condition like the Rollei it may
have been worth $25.This is all the information I have. If you are
interested in her email address please contact me so you can deal with her
directly.
