I can see in my mind’s eye how it happened. At just the moment I was
changing out my first roll, I was forced to fend off a guy who I knew was
trying to con me out of cash, and I bypassed the first roller! And worse,
being flustered at losing a roll of good film, it even happened a second
time!
The good news is, I no longer have to wander around Italy losing priceless
moment after priceless moment! Thanks again for the encouragement, Ferdi!

Dave,
’Stopped working’. Do you mean the film is running through without
stopping at frame 1? Have you used a different type of film? In that case
change back to your usual film and hopefully the problem is tackled. The
film feeler mechanism does not always work reliable with some makes of
film. (Modern) films may be too thin at starting point (paper+film+adhesive
strip).
