Hello Dave,
I am a slow thinker! Now that you have two ruined film you can do the taping in
broad daylight and try loading again. You will have that figured out by
yourself earlier than I.

Hi Ferdi,
That is exactly my problem. Unfortunate, I’ve already ruined two rolls of
FP4+, and it is, by far, my favourite and most often used film. I am carrying
some expired Portra 160 with me. I might just try a roll to see if the change
is enough, and I won’t be too disappointed to lose it if it doesn’t work.
Thanks! Fingers crossed!
Cheers,
Dave

Dave,
’Stopped working’. Do you mean the film is running through without stopping
at frame 1? Have you used a different type of film? In that case change back
to your usual film and hopefully the problem is tackled. The film feeler
mechanism does not always work reliable with some makes of film. (Modern)
films may be too thin at starting point (paper+film+adhesive strip).
I hope this helps.
Ferdi.

Help! I’m only one roll of film into a short trip to Florence, Italy and the
automatic film transport mechanism on my 2.8F has suddenly stopped working.
We won’t be in Florence long enough to do anything about it while here,
unfortunately. I know this is a long-shot, but does anyone happen to know of
a good Rollei repair technician in Milan?
Dave
