I am not. (In honesty, I am very retired Lieutenant Colonel of the List ... ) To shock a lot of the folks here, Austin and I are CLOSE to agreeing.
The years are significant. I can find no evidence that Hasselblad impacted on Franke & Heidecke (WHY did these firms have such improbable and oddball names? Leitz or Zeiss Ikon or Robot. Zheezh!) up to the introduction of the 500C. After that point, the F&H sales were bound to slip in light of the Japanese assault. F&H was going to die in any event, as it had never really established a home market. (Carlos: help me out here, or dissent! You knew Prochnow, after all!)
Second, what more research do I need to do? I have owned over the years a number of 1000F and 1600F cameras. I sent the numbers to Rick Nordin, Austin, and I believe that your received a copy.
