I have used various Rolleiflexes down to -30C with no shutter delay problems (the feeder roller and the focus get stiff below about -20C); down to about -15 to -20C everything should work with no problems at all. yours probably needs a CLA.

I took my Rolleiflex T out today in cold weather (well cold for here,
I'm guessing it was around 0C or just ever so slightly below).

The shutter was ever so badly behaved at low speeds, an exposure of a
quarter of a second took almost two seconds. Higher speeds seemed okay.

After warming the camera up and releasing the shutter a few times it
returned to normal.

Is this behavior expected or is it a hint that a CLA is due sometime soon?

James
