A slight correction: I found a reference in my old files about the week
numbers for the Rollei coded SN interpretation. The first week of January
is number 0, not 1 and then the 8th week of 1989 is the first week of
March; Ferdi's GX without the flash socket chrome ring was made in March
1989, even closer to the GX made in April 1989 already provided with the
chrome ring.

The chrome frame on the back was added from March 1991 and the chrome ring

... Mr Prochnow writes about this chrome ring: "Ab Anfang 1989 ...."
That means "From the start of 1989 ....." not "After week 8 ...." ;-)
