I always enjoy Carlos’ photos. Not only do they reveal interesting glimpses of
another place and culture but also some more intimate aspects of his family
life. And they are always skillfully done. I think Carlos and I are of an age
and I can easily picture myself sitting down with him and enjoying a glass of
wine.

I am not quite sure what a snapshot is but I associate it
with pictures that are not only casual but a bit unskillful. This
is not a snapshot at all. Its a good portrait. Maybe informal but
shows character and there is some contact between the subject and
the viewer.
I sometimes think my own pictures are snapshots, even when I
use an 8x10 but I think I am being overly modest as are you.
