Your facts are confused. Read Carl Mydan's comments on the Tokyo test. The only lens involved was the 1.5/50 Nikkor. The 2/85 design of which you speak was not marketed for more than a year thereafter. And Duncan's initial reports also only speak of the 1.5/50. It was the 50 which got all the hype and that was an exact copy of the Prewar CZJ design.
