I buy from both Adorama and B&H. B&H is more reliable but if I am
buying high price items, I deal with one sales person at Adorama who
can usually give me a further break.
Thanks for the lookout! I never buy from anyone but B&H (and only when absolutely necessary - usually I get everything from Freestyle) and even then I order online so I don't have to deal with the troglodytes they have answering the phones, and that's coming from a native New Yorker.
I have heard so many bad stories about Adorama that I avoid them like the plague. As far as the rest go....don't deal with them. Period. My family's flat is literally around the corner from all of those stores (37th street) and I have seen and heard too much to ever trust them. I got ripped-off once by Willoughby's whom my father had always trusted and highly recommded. Frankly, I'd rather pay a little extra for better service and peace of mind.
Yours,
Paul
