MIME is the standard method of encoding binary files for e-mail. Since the e-mail system (and Usenet) work with plain text only any binary file such as a picture some formatted text must be converted to a code using text characters. Normally you would not see these but the list setting converts them back to text. The settings as now set will strip attachments off the messages but will allow some MIME encoded stuff through. This printer's pie may have been something like a digital signature or visiting card. --- Richard Knoppow Los Angeles, CA, USA dickburk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx --- Rollei List - Post to rollei_list@xxxxxxxxxxxxx - Subscribe at rollei_list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'subscribe' in the subject field OR by logging into www.freelists.org - Unsubscribe at rollei_list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the subject field OR by logging into www.freelists.org - Online, searchable archives are available at //www.freelists.org/archives/rollei_list
