According the Rollei Factory repair Manual that
contains the production changes for different cameras
models and different parts, the "white face" model was
manufactured from 1970, according Prochnow from 1971,
I think because he crosses info between factory data
and prices list for the market sometimes.
IMO the "white face" models have nothing special
regarding the last no "white face" models except for
the front panel shape and very minor changes, and the
serial numbers block gap does not mean a different
camera model like a necessary thing, it could mean a
change or it couldn't mean a change, you often can
find these serial blocks gaps along the TLR
production, sometimes with changes, sometimes without
changes for the model.
The only TLR "whiteface" camera in regular production
till the original Rollei company bankruptcy on 1980/81
was the 2.8F; I found in Manfred Schmidt Collectibles
a 3.5F for sale with the serial 5,xxx,xxxthat
according the seller is one of the 3.5F manufacured
under special order on 1980, the serial number block
is different regarding the known blocks for the 3.5F
regular production that ended on 1976.-
