Rollei Optical Co. in Singapore was one of the most modern and biggest
lens factory at the time. Rollei manufactured there some lenses for their
cameras and for others lens manufacturers like Schneider too. The Zeiss
Planar HFT 1,8/50 was mainly made in Singapore under Zeiss license. Some
lenses of Japanese origin also were made at the Rollei Optical Co.
Singapore under license, however most Rolleinars MC (Mamiya and others)
were made in Japan. Rollei also owned the former Voigtländer lens factory
in Brunswick.
These two photographs are some way related: The first one shows a waterfall
hardly visible in the last background; the second one shows this distant
waterfall in the foreground (Rolleiflex SL35E, Fuji Superia Xtra 400 color
neg film):

Last week-end I was in the Iguazú river falls (299km from my city) and
took some photographs with the Rolleiflex SL35 E and Fuji Superia Xtra 400
color neg film. I used the Rolleinars (Mamiya) MC 2,8/135mm and 4/21mm and
the Planar HFT 1,8/50mm.
The first and second photograph I mention here were taken with the short
tele 135mm, the third one was taken with the 21mm; the first photograph
(135mm) and the third photograph (21mm) were taken from the same point (or
almost), it could be a valid practical comparison about angle of view and
focal length:
