Rollei was developing enlargers prototypes from 1965, but they
were no produced for the market due to high manufacture costs and low sales
perspectives. In 1975 Rollei decided to develop and to produce for the
market the Rolleimat Universal Enlarger 35mm and 6x7, these enlarger were
made from 1976 in the Uelzener Rollei plant in Germany, this plant was
closed in 1977 and the production was not transferred to Singapore due to
the low sales, but a a Brazilian from German ancestors took these enlargers
production for his company in Brazil according I wrote previously. The
Honeywell Nikkor was made in Japan and Rollei became in charge of Honeywell
Photography in 1977; Rollei bought and distributed the Honeywell Nikkor
enlarger around the world using the Nikkor brand or the Rollei brand, if I
don't misinterpreted the Rollei Report IV, page 59-1142.

If it's the Rollei RDE enlarger I'm thinking of it was the same as the
Nikor RDE 6x7. Some were marketed with a Honeywell 'sticker' on. I think it
was made by Nikor for Rollei.
The Novoflex bellows works with the 2000/3000 cameras but with open
aperture metering. I think my bellows has a stop-down link to the lens.

Just came across my instruction book for the Rolleimat Universal
Enlarger. Was this unit built by Franke & Heidecke in Braunschweig or
perhaps by Kaiser?
The automatic bellows unit for the Rolleiflex 35/350 was clearly built by
Novoflex for Rollei. Anyone know if it can also be used on the Rolleiflex
2000/3000 series ?
