My fee is $150 for a consultation with the couple and for the wedding--I do
not generally attend the rehearsal. It is collected, then paid to me, by
the church. One thing we do that helps is that the fee (along with church
fees, etc.) needs to be paid before the rehearsal can take place. This
prevents those situations where the wedding party may not get around to
paying their bills! As far as funerals, I get paid $100 per funeral. Both
of these fee amounts are in my contract.
