Unfortunately, the 837 only sends GM or GS and will not let you select all the
voices from the name in the screen, instead you enter PGM MSB LSB.
But it will responds simple GM commands in the test I put together. Which is
to see of teh organ is playing MIDI properly from its pistons.

There are specific settings that you have to have the midi set up in organ for
the MX-200, remember your organ was previously configured for the PR. I would
advise calling your rep that installed the organ and ask them what settings
need to be changed in the midi menu. There is a specific setting that lets you
select what sound module you are using and there should be a selection for the
MX. Sounds like it is on the pr because that was set up as general midi and
you are now using the MX which is configured differently.
So call your Rodgers rep tell them what happened and they should be able to
talk you through the change. If not come back here and let us know and I will
contact someone to get the instructions on how to configure the organ midi
window.
As Noel asked, what happened with your PR-300?
Does it turn on? If not did the power cord short out, or were you using a
power supply that plugged into an ac outlite. If the latter the power supply
could be bad, and they are cheap to replace.
Does it make any sound?
Does it play and record?
Does the disc drive work? If you put a disc in the unit does it play it or just
click click click?

And have you tried connecting to to:
MIDI OUT
or, instead
SEQUENCER OUT
on the organ MIDI Panel.
The MX-200 does not communicate with the organ (jf you have a MIDI OUT or THRU
on the MX-200 connected to the organ, disconnect it)
so the problem would seem to lie with the organ.
How did you PR-300 fail?

I purchased a MX-200 to replace our failed PR-300. The connection of
it was pretty straight forward. However I'm unable to save any of midi
sounds from the MX-200 to the general pistons. I have two Midi's voices
for each manual, and I can play a Midi voice on any single Midi coupler
piston, but I cannot put multiple midi voices on at the same time. And
as soon as I engage a registration from a general piston the sound
reverts to one of the built-in ones. Also, I cannot save a Midi Voice
onto a general piston. Therefore the MX-200 is usable. I'm pretty sure
I have something set-up incorrectly, but I cannot figure out what it is.
Any advice?
