St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Belleville, IL, will present “The Glory
of Christmas” on Sunday and Monday, December 11 and 12, at 7 p.m. The church is
about 12 miles east of downtown St. Louis.
This is the 28th presentation of “The Glory of Christmas” under the direction
of Hank Oplinger, Minister of Music, and includes the Chancel Choir, orchestra,
drama, live animals, etc. The quality is first-class, comparable to something
you might see at a theater in St. Louis or Branson.
There is no charge, but please arrive early to be sure of getting a seat and a
parking place. (Each year, scores of late-comers are turned away because — like
Mary and Joseph — there is “no room” in the inn for them!)
